Minimising electromagnetic interference

Zeez signals are very gentle, and effective because they are precise. Other devices can interfere, distort our signals, and render the Zeez ineffective. Usually, it is enough to ensure that our own bedroom is free of equipment that can interfere. Do not worry about your neighbours! Unplug powerful equipment, turn off your router or booster box if it is closer than 7m, or put it on a timer, and put WiFi enabled devices into flight mode. Here is a guide:

These devices are unlikely to interfere. You can leave them plugged in / on.

CPAP devices; Lamps; Small fans; landline phones, including IDECT and DECT that are less than 5 years old; Sunrise alarm clocks and noise machines that are powered via a USB connector; flat screen TVs that are less than 5 years old, anything that is battery powered and not wifi enabled, including radios.

These devices will interfere with the Zeez signals. Unplug them:

Electric alarm clock: Old TV, plasma screen TV. Ceiling fan; Phone Charger. Computer, tablet, or phone that is plugged in or receiving wifi signals. Suggestion: your phone or phone charger will probably be OK if more than 4m away from your head.

Alexa, Echo, Smart bulbs. Turn off, or put on a timer.

Heart Monitor. Can interfere with the Zeez if it is less than 3m away from your head. The Zeez won’t interfere with a heart monitor, or with a pacemaker.

Router/ booster box. Generally OK if more than 7m away. Switch wi-fi off overnight or put onto a timer, so that it goes off no later than 30 mins after you start the Zeez, until 30 mins before the cycle ends. Wired connections are fine, but do make sure that the WiFi is off. If you live with other internet users who can’t allow you a 6 hour wi-fi free ”window” it may be possible to block internet signals in your direction -depends on the location of the router and geography of your house.

Electric Blanket. Remove. Use hot water bottles or a water-filled pad.

Is there powerful equipment close to your head in another room? Computers, a burglar alarm or consumer unit (fuse box)? Move the equipment, turn it off, or move your head further away.

Some people are supersensitive to electrical interference, especially people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or auto immune disease. It your sleep is worse when you use the Zeez, it is likely that electrical equipment is disturbing the Zeez signal. Find the source and switch it off! Our users support group is a good source of advice, or ask us.

If you are uncertain about any device, give yourself 6 weeks use of the Zeez without it, then introduce it and monitor the effects on your sleep.

Good Luck!
