A double-blind trial is underway at Coventry University. Participants have a Zeez Sleep Pebble, or a placebo device – they don’t know which. After two weeks, and a rest period, devices are swapped. Periodically during the trial, participants sleep on a sleep mat designed to monitor sleep quality. They also complete questionnaires. When the study is finished we will see the effects of the two devices, at least in a small group.
A case series is being undertaken by Dr Camille Carroll at Plymouth School of Medicine amongst patients suffering with Parkinson’s disease. The Zeez Sleep Pebble is being added to their ordinary treatment. We expect preliminary result results during 2017.
